PRESS RELEASE FROM IMO GOVERNMENT HOUSE OWERRI ON ILLEGAL TASK FORCE OPERATING IN THE CITY.
The attention of Government has been drawn to the activities of some groups, (uniformed and non uniformed) who claim to be Consultants to Imo State Government on obstruction and related traffic offenses.
Unfortunately, the activities of these so called Task Forces have become so unwholesome that Government is now continuously embarrassed by their in disciplined conduct and behavior.
For the avoidance of doubt, His Excellency, the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, OON had terminated all such consultancies and has repeated this severally. The OCDA and ENTRACO are the only relevant Government Agencies vested with the responsibility of maintaining sanity on our inner city roads and landscape.
Anyone or group found to be constituting further nuisance in the name of Taskforce on obstruction outside ENTRACO and OCDA will be prosecuted.
The general public is hereby advised accordingly.
