In my mind I had planned an elaborate day filled with lots of delicious meals for the people, my people ,who hardly find time to eat good with joy and laughter because they work so hard & hardly earn enough. & so I planned to take one day in a month to celebrate the people by celebrating them with a befitting meal.
I had planned, re planned and planned again for my project, fortunately 😊 humans always fail but God never fails.
I was done whining, complaining and making excuses as to why I hadn't kept my promise. I decided to do it anyway, even if it meant feeding one person at a time.

CAFON declares 1st of March no banking day
A Non-Governmental organization,Consumer Advocacy Foundation of Nigeria (CAFON), declares tomorrow Tuesday March 1st as #NoBankingDay, in protest of excessive bank charges leveied on Nigerians for using their services.The statement on their website read below,
March 1 is “No Banking Day” Protest against excessive bank charges Dear Nigerian Banks Consumers For many years now, consumers of banking services have been subject to series of poor and unsatisfactory transaction and relationship terms.
We have endured excessive charges, illegal fees and unfair contracts that only protects the bank but does not protect the consumers. Banks debit our accounts at will for charges we never agreed to or were not aware of; they charge us for every little service; we pay for getting our statements; introduction letters; and now, some banks are charging N200 for the use of deposit and transfer forms! Under the current CBN management, abolished fees are being reintroduced. ATM withdrawals that was free now cost N65 on 3rd withdrawals. We pay N1000 for debit card issuance and renewals; we pay N105 for every online transfer; and they still charge N105 as Annual Debit Card Maintenance and now, a new Stamp Duty charge of N50 on every credit of over N1000 has just been introduced. COT that was supposed to end finally in 2016 is now being reintroduced as 1% of every withdrawal purportedly as Monthly Current Account Maintenance Fees! This is unacceptable! The fact is, Consumers are being exploited by all the banks and CBN is aiding and encouraging these exploitations.
We cannot continue to endure this exploitations! That is why Consumer Advocacy Foundation of Nigeria CAFON, a consumer rights NGO is calling consumers to join us in protest of Banking Exploitation by declaring Tuesday, March 1 2016 as NO BANKING DAY!
Our Demands
a) We want bank charges reviewed downwards
b) Banks must clear fees with consumers BEFORE debiting our accounts
c) bank forms and contracts must be reviewed to include more protection for consumers
d) Consumer complaints must be resolved promptly and satisfactorily

Traffic offence:Commercial driver convicted to sweep police station for 5 days
Lagos state government is really serious in curbing the rate of traffic offence in the state and different measure has been mapped out to help reduce the menace.
Lagos, Feb 29, 2016 (NAN) An Ogudu Magistrates’ Court Lagos, on Monday, ordered a commercial driver, Kolawole Olumide, 25, to sweep the Ogudu Police Station for five days for driving against traffic.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. Sule Amzat, pronounced the sentence after the driver pleaded guilty to the three-count charge of driving without a license and causing willful obstruction on the highway.
Amzat ordered Olumide to sweep the police station for a minimum of two hours for the duration of the five days and to pay N5, 000 to the Lagos State Government for each of the counts of the charge.
The magistrate said if the driver failed to comply with the community service imposed, he would be taken into custody for at least six months.
She also ordered that the vehicle - a Volkswagen LT bus with reg. no: KRD 833 XH - should be released to the convict upon completion of his sentence.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Sgt. Lucky Ihiehie, had told the court that Olumide drove against traffic on the highway.
He said the driver also caused willful obstruction on the road, having no regard for other road users.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the offences committed contravene Schedule 3, items 1, 24 and schedule 1, item 45 of the Lagos State Traffic Law, 2012.

Minister of women affairs,Sen.Jummai Alhassan,vows to ensure Ese's release
The minister of Women affiars Sen.Jummai Alhassan took to her twitter to condemn the unlawful abduction and forceful marriage of Ese Oruu a 13 years old girl by one Yinusa.She clearly stated that a girl is only able to marry when she is up to 18 years old according to the Child Right Act.She has assured that she will intervene to her release.

Former Minister of interior Abba Moro heads to Kuje prison
Former Minister of interior alongside the 3rd accused person F. O Alayebami,has been remanded at Kuje Prison pending the determination of their application for bail for their involvement in the 2014 Nigeria Immigration Service recruitment scam.
Justice Anwuli Chikere of the federal high court in Abuja gave the remand order while presiding over the court sitting today, February 29, where the three accused having listened to all the charges against them said they were not guilty.
However the 2nd accused Anastasia Nwobia,was granted bail because she is a nursing mother as stated by her lawyer Chris Uche and following her release from the custody of the EFCC on administrative bail which the justice said “The administrative bail granted to the second defendant is to continue under the same condition while the first and third defendants be remanded in prison custody,”
One of the charges read: “One of the accused Mahmood Ahmadu(who is at large) in connivance with Drexel Tech Nigeria Ltd, lavished the total of N423,800,000.00(Four Hundred and Twenty Three Million, Eight Hundred Thousand naira) part of the N676,675,000 (Six Hundred and Seventy Six Million, Six Hundred and Seventy Five Thousand Naira) gotten from the applicants on the following: the sum N202, 500, 000( Two Hundred and Two Million Five Hundred Thousand naira ) in purchase of a property in a choice area of the Federal Capital territory, N120, 100,000 (One Hundred and twenty Million One hundred Thousand Naira ) used in upgrading a property in Abuja, while the total of N101, 200, 000( One Hundred and One Million Two Hundred thousand Naira) was converted to United states dollars for personal use.”
The matter has been adjourned to Thursday, March 3 for hearing on the application.But till then Mr.Abba Moro will be cooling off at Kuje Prison.

Catholic priest caught on video snorting cocaine
Reverend Father Crossan, who lives on the grounds of St Patrick's Church in Banbridge, Northern Ireland, accepted taking drugs, telling The Sun's Ruth Warrander: 'It was just the one night and that was it. I do not have an issue with drugs.'He also denied being a Nazi and said the memorabilia was there because he collects 'historical stuff'
The source added: 'It was all over the house. At one point Stephen put on a cap and did the Nazi salute.
'It's shocking. He's supposed to be an upstanding member of society. He shouldn't be taking drugs.'

Leonardo DiCaprio has finally taken home an Oscar awards after six nominations.Yesterday he was nominated for the Best actor among the likes of Bryan Cranston,Matt Damon,Michael Fassbender and Eddie Redmayne.He won the award for the best actor in "The Revenant".
While accepting his award he spoke about people not taking for granted the climate change and that he will not take for granted the Oscar awards tonight.

Dear brother, it has been over 5 months since you and your colleagues went missing in action… It is sad that the story has gone on like this, because you are the Samson of our time.
Evil men tremble when they hear your name and the good laugh to the bone when they come around you. You are known as one who saves others from their oppressors. Since you are nowhere to be found, everything has fallen apart.
Mum has been praying with a broken heart, same with Dad. Your sisters are still in shock while your brothers are still holding on like soldiers. Your wife is ever hopeful.

This is perhaps one of the most difficult posts I have made to date.
Prof Yemi Osinbajo and I have a few things in common. He is a professional in politics like me. He is a practising Christian and a revered Pastor. I am a practising christian and an aspiring Evangelist. We both are alumni of Igbobi college, Yaba. Lagos. His younger brother and mine were classmates at Igbobi and are both pastors of the fountain of life church, Ilupeju, where I became grounded in Christianity under the mentorship of the celebrated and revered man of God, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.
It was in this church and before a body of pastors undergoing a spiritual retreat that the Vice President went and said " that the federal government in the last 10 years have not constructed a single new road "
This statement is a lie and an absolute falsehood. Many people have said so. But this is not why I am writing this.
My concern is the erroneous assumption that just because the VP is a Christian therefore every christian is APC.
This why the VP's statement is unfortunate in that it was a wrong statement made in a wrong place(church)
and before a wrong audience.
The church must also be sensitive and mindful of the danger in bringing politics into the church.
For Prof Osinbajo, if only he remembered the Igbobi college motto " omnes unum in domino" meaning " all are one in the Lord"
he would not have committed such a blunder. Our God is God of APC,PDP,Labour etc
Haven said this the VP is someone I hold in very high esteem and he knows this. I am also proud of his role in this administration.

President Buhari orders investigation into latest Benue killings

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered an investigation into the clashes between herdsmen and indigenes of communities in Benue State. President Buhari who expressed deep shock at the latest incident during the past week, which led to hundreds of deaths in four communities in Agatu, Benue State, ordered security agencies to get to the root causes of the problem.
"We will conduct an investigation to know exactly what happened; the only way to bring an end to the violence once and for all is to look beyond one incident and ascertain exactly what factors are behind the conflicts,” he said.
He added that all Nigerians must learn to live together as one, in peace and unity.
"We are all one nation and one people," he said. "There should not be any reason why Nigerians of any group or tongue cannot now reside with one another wherever they find themselves after decades of living together."
The President further expressed condolences to the government and people of Benue State, particularly the people of the Agatu communities, assuring them that the government would do everything possible to ensure that no such incident ever occurred in their midst again.
"Once the investigations are concluded, we will act immediately to address the root of the problem," he said.

Nigeria,Qatar sign Agreements on Bilateral air service
Press statement,
Nigeria and the State of Qatar on Sunday in Doha signed Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) to pave way for direct flights between major cities of both countries.
Both countries also signed an agreement to avoid double taxation and tax evasion on the sideline of President Muhammadu Buhari's state visit to Qatar.
The Minister of State for Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, representing President Muhammadu Buhari, signed the air services agreement on behalf of the country while Qatar’s Minister of Transportation and Communications, Jassim Bin Saif Alsulaiti, signed on behalf the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hammad Al-Thani.
The agreement which was signed in the presence of both leaders is expected to pave way for more direct flights between major cities of both countries on the principle of reciprocity by the designated airlines on behalf of the country.
Sirika said after the signing of the agreement that the accord would promote trade, commerce, tourism and travel between both countries.
"Qatar is the richest country in the world at the moment in terms of per capita income, their economy is strong and their national carrier, Qatar airlines, is one of the most viable and most focused in the industry.
"They (Qatar airlines) presently fly to Nigeria but they want to fly to more cities and with the focus of the present administration in Nigeria on establishing a national carrier, we have commenced discussions on how we can partner with countries like Qatar in our quest to establish a national carrier".
The Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, who signed the agreement for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes income with her Qatari counterpart, Ali Shareef Al Emadi, expressed delight that the agreement which was negotiated since February 2015 has been finalised.
"What is symbolic in this agreement is that the Qataris who are already investing heavily in Nigeria will bring in more investments because the earlier lack of an agreement to avoid double taxation was a stumbling block to some of the investors.
"I am very confident that the signing of this agreement will bring much more investment and business between Qatar and Nigeria," she told reporters after signing the agreement.
In his remarks to journalists, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geofrey Onyeama, said President Buhari and Sheikh Al-Thani had fruitful discussions on security, oil price stability, and the fight against corruption in Nigeria.
"The Qatari leader acknowledged that President Buhari has really created an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the country.
"The Emir made the point on the war against corruption in Nigeria and the progress President Buhari is making in that front and they are of the opinion that if that problem is addressed with focused polices, the country will progress.
"The Emir also made it clear that the Qatari’s are ready to invest in Nigeria in a big way", he said.

Senate President Saraki Assures On Sustainable Economic Policies
Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has said that the 8th Senate will collaborate with the Executive to ensure that the policies and programmes of the present administration aimed at reviving the economy are sustained on a long term basis.
Saraki according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanni Onogu, in Abuja, stated this when he received the national executive of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) led by its President, Professor Olugbenga Okunola.
He said the Senate is on a mission to ensure that the country harnesses her non-oil resources and achieve full diversification of the economy.
Saraki said: "For us in the 8th Senate we have said it that our focus is to continue to give support to those sectors of our economy that will provide employment, increase the earnings of government and the growth of the economy in general.
"And if you are talking about the growth of the economy, you have to give particular consideration to the mining sector. And what do we need to do to get that done? I want to assure you that the message I will like you to take away is that the 8th Senate is ready to give all the support in ensuring that we truly begin to harness the hitherto the unexplored and neglected potentials that we have.
"We have been talking about these potentials for a long time. It is time to talk about realising the potentials and translating them to economic power. how to bring. That is our own vision and mission.
"We have all seen the downside of being a mono-product economy. We are all suffering from it now. When you see what is happening to our revenues, our foreign exchange inflows and particularly what is happening to even the foreign exchange rate due to our over dependence on crude oil.
"The projections that it is going to be down for a couple of years means that any serious minded country needs to look at the options available. And some of the things we are seeing now is because there is a lot of speculation out there.
"A lot of the speculators believe that we don't have the political will to see through some of the policies and programmes aimed at diversifying the economy and that is why you see a lot of them are betting against the Naira. That is why you see all of a sudden, the Naira is rebounding because they are beginning to see that it appears that this government is committed on its policy.
"I want to assure you that we are committed. The political will is there. We are very determined to see that we diversify. All these things you are talking about are well known to a lot of us. The frustration has een that we have not been able to see it through. I want to assure you that this Senate is committed to ensure that we support the executive in sustaining these long term polices. This is important and that is where we must start from," he said.

In the case of the State and Rev. Chukwuemeka Kingsley Ezeugo, the Supreme Court a few days ago, upheld the rulings of the lower courts and ruled that the bearded, self-styled “little god”, “Jesus Christ of our time”, and founder of the Lagos-based Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), deserves to be hanged, for enacting a form of horror movie which resulted in the death in 2006 of Ms Ann Uzoh. The simple import of that ruling is that no man is a king before the law, and that the law is no respecter of persons including those who describe themselves as anointed men of God, and who on that account use religion to commit atrocities.
But the most bizarre development since that ruling last Friday has been the intervention of a group called the Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN). The group says Nigeria has nothing to gain by shedding Rev. King’s blood and that President Muhammadu Buhari should grant the convicted murderer state pardon because “he is still a spiritual leader to many Nigerians.” The Ndigbo Society is indirectly saying that Rev King’s life should be spared because he is Igbo, and a religious leader. This is nothing but arrant nonsense. It makes us wonder what happens to people’s heads once they are in the grips of the disease of ethnicism. Has anyone told the Ndigbo Cultural Society that Rev. King’s victim, Ann Uzoh, was also Igbo? Or is Emeka Ezeugo’s Igbo life more important than that of Ann Uzoh? Or the lives of the others: Jessica Nwene, Kosiso Ezenwankwo, Chiejina Olisa, Chizoba Onuora, Vivian and Uche?
We keep encountering this kind of absurdity. Crime is excused on the grounds of ethnic affiliation. My-brother-can-do-no-wrong-once-we-are-from-the-same-village: and it is this that has created a web of conspiracy whenever and wherever the ethnic game is at play, and that conspiracy is against the state and decent values of national togetherness. But we thank God for the courts of law, which in this case have brought the Rev. King saga to a closure. And please note that if the victim in this case had been of non-Igbo extraction, perhaps the Ndigbo Cultural Society would have been more strident with their appeal. They’d do well to keep quiet and not further insult the memory of the dead.
They are right on one score though: that Rev King is still a religious leader to many Nigerians. It is one of those funny things about the scope and spread of superstition and religious fanaticism in Nigeria that there are indeed persons who worship their fellow human beings and turn them into their gods. It is precisely this same form of delusion that led to the crime that is taking Rev. King to the gallows in the first place.
It is why he still has followers who believe that the Supreme Court ruling is a joke and that “Rev. King is superhuman, he can’t be killed by mere mortals”. Members of the Christian Praying Assembly are still reportedly awaiting the return of the man they call “His Holiness”. One Sunny, acting as their spokesman, says: “His Holiness cannot be killed. He is more than a mere human being and cannot be killed by any mortal…He will come back home at the appointed time and by then, the people behind this whole thing will bury their heads in shame…” These characters imagine that the people who will bury their heads in shame include the Justices of the Supreme Court?
Apart from ethnicity, religion is another major source of crisis in Nigeria. It turns people’s heads, turns them into zombies and forces them, in many cases to worship man instead of God. Across the country, every day, there are millions who have turned religious leaders including herbalists into “Little gods”. Among Christians and Muslims, widespread confusion over the interpretation of the doctrine has created such complexity that continues to lead people astray. Poverty and the scarcity of opportunities continue to drive people to places of imagined salvation. The pastors promise miracles: they not only preach the gospel, they claim all kinds of powers including the power to make the blind see, to make the lame walk, and to help the unmarried find husbands and wives. Some of the pastors add a touch of the melodramatic to it: they give out clothes, cars, houses, and free food.
But it is the people’s money being recycled and given back as token. The lifestyle of many of the religious leaders would make the Pope cringe. They preach salvation and divine protection, for example, but they live as if they are afraid of their own shadows. The poor members of the congregation relate with the anointed man of God from a distance because they are not rich enough to get close to him, but from the pittance that they manage to make, they contribute tithes unfailingly, to make the man of God and his family live it up and boast that their “Lord is Good!”
The more stylish a religious leader is, the more popular. And some have even gone from being stylish to being practically unusual. There are churches where the Pastors slap, beat, and kick members. In some other places of worship, the Pastors are reportedly romantically involved with female members of the congregation, including married women. There is freedom of religion and freedom of worship and association and so, anyone can call himself a Reverend, a Prophet, a Spiritualist or God’s Deputy, erect a tent and turn himself into some people’s God. Rev King actually lived like that, like a mini-God. He built a large cult-like followership and exercised near-absolute powers over his besotted followers. Ann Uzoh was one of his victims. Sometime, in 2006, he had set her and six other members of the church ablaze for allegedly committing fornication, witchcraft and other offences. He sat in judgment in his own court and issued a death sentence. Ann and other ladies in church were Rev. King’s sex slaves, and according to one account it was the rivalry between Ann and another sex slave that led to the dousing of Ann and others with petrol, their being set ablaze, and Ann’s death.
Ann Uzoh is better remembered as one of those promising young Nigerians whose life was derailed by religious hypnotism. Young ladies who are still today selling themselves to churches and pastors should be reminded of her story and there is no better person to offer a reminder than the father of Ann Uzoh, Mr. Raphael Uzoh. In 2006, the Nigerian Tribune (August 9, 2006)interviewed him and reported, in part, as follows:
“The decision of Miss Uzoh, a Higher National Diploma graduate in Accountancy from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu State, to pack out of her parents’ house at the period without telling anybody, was said to have shocked everyone. According to the father of the deceased, during a chat with Mid-week Tribune, when he could no longer withstand the pressure being mounted on him by his daughters suitors who had sought her hands in marriage, shortly before she eloped with Rev King, he began the search for her until he was informed by some concerned family members that she had been sighted at the Christian Prayer Assembly belonging to the suspect.
“To my surprise, when I got there, based on the instruction of Rev. King to my daughter, I was told by some insiders that my daughter had changed her name to Ann King. And she told me that I was not her father, that she had started bearing Ann King, said Mr. Raphael Uzoh. He stated that despite this strange behaviour by his daughter and her unusual and sudden rudeness to him, he did not relent in trying to re-assure her that she was still welcome at home if she could still change her mind and come to her senses. Rather, he expressed regrets that his late daughter who was his first child remained adamant and unrepentant.
“However, the bereaved father, in tears, noted that sometime on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the church’s premises, the accused person was said to have called the deceased and some other five members of the church into his residence and leveled some accusations against the worshippers who saw him as a little god. Mr Uzoh, now left with two children, said he learnt that once anyone was summoned by the pastor, that person, out of fear, must kneel down before the pastor, no matter how old he or she might be. There and then, the suspect was said to have passed death sentence on the girls for perceived fornication and witchcraft. He ordered for fuel and it was brought to him by one Kelechi because the first gallon of fuel brought by the accused person to sprinkle on the unfortunate worshippers was not enough, he recalled.”
That is not the end of the story. Mr. Raphael Uzoh, while trying to rescue his daughter, was ordered to join Rev. King’s church. He did and was given the assignment of lacing Rev. King’s shoes (!). Rev. King definitely lived like a king, and here are some of his followers still insisting that the hangman cannot kill him, even after the Supreme Court had spoken. It won’t be long before they start claiming that he will resurrect! But what on earth could have turned a graduate of Accountancy into a willing sex slave in a church? Unemployment? We need to worry seriously and do something about the growing hordes of young men and women who have turned themselves into slaves of churches, other religious groups, pastors and clerics. Nigeria is losing too much talent and national productivity time to places of religious worship. It is sad that political leaders also patronize these haunts and their managers. Nigeria has become one big theatre of religious ritual. The name of God is the most abused name in Nigeria today. The resultant tragedy and hypocrisy are astonishing.
For now, we can only hope, that all the religious leaders who use religion as a vehicle of abuse will learn the appropriate lessons from the saga of Rev. Chukwuemeka Kingsley Ezeugo a.k.a. Rev. King. And I am not in any way saying all clerics are bad; but that the likes of Rev. King bring the calling to disrepute and sadly, their population seems to be increasing. AOP Freeze of CoolFM took to his instagram to compare between how the former Agege bread seller turned celebrity and Mr. Ayodele Daniel Dada the first Nigerian to finish university with a perfect CGPA of 5.0 are being celebrated.He suggested that Mr.Dada should be celebrated more than Olajumoke because the likes of Mr.Dada are rare to find. Before Ayodele, no one had 'EVER' finished with a perfect CGPA in UNILAG!!! Since it was established in 1962, he made history by becoming the first to achieve such a commendable feat!
Now, so many questions come to mind. How come my dear friend Kunbi of 'April with Kunbi' hasn't styled him or recommended him for styling? How come CNN hasn't done a story on him? How come his life isn't documented on blogs daily? How come he isn't a brand ambassador for any product? The questions are ceaseless. Ciara put up a post of an equally beautiful traffic hawker selling some type of fruit yesterday and she was described, in Ciara's own words as 'beautiful and talented'. If these two 'hawker beauties' were discovered less than 2 months apart, it means that beautiful girls that hawk commodities aren't in short supply in Lagos. While people who finish with with a 5.0 CGPA are almost non existent! It took 54 years to produce the first one!
While Olajumoke and this other lady are rough stones that could be polished to achieve a lustrous shine, Ayodele is a true jewel, a rare yellow diamond in its truest and purest form. Let's not let our 'poverty mentality', that makes things of lesser importance seem valuable, cloud our judgement. I have no objection to polishing stones to bring out their shine, but please let's not do it at the expense of gems of inestimable value! The outcome of our future depends largely on 'what' or 'whom' we invest in. If Japan, Switzerland or America invested their time and money in pretty bread sellers, we won't have the brains behind their automotive, aeronautic, horological or financial achievements today. I'm not saying we shouldn't celebrate Olajumoke o! Before people call me a hater but like hell we must celebrate Ayodele first! Just my thought on a Saturday evening~FRZ"

My Wife Is Mentally ill - Viola Onwuliri's son accuses Wife Kristina
Mr. Chukwuemeka Elihe Onwuliri, son of former Foreign Affairs Minister, Lady Viola Onwuliri, has denied beating and locking up his wife but rather offered to help her over mental illness she is allegedly suffering.
Onwuliri, in an email to Pointblanknews.com said contrary to reports of his beating his wife, Christina, his family has been more concerned to see how they can save the children from the violent display from his wife who has threatened severally to kill them.
He alleged that her mental illness which was not made known to him and his family before their marriage is reason why he decided to bring her back from Canada.
His email to pointblanknews.com reads:
Kristina Onwuliri (nee Amaefule) is mentally ill and we were not told before the marriage of the psychological problems that she had.
Some actions she has taken are:
1. Grabbing the car steering wheel and swerving it on the Highway in Canada while I was driving almost killing us instantly
2. throwing a heavy statue of Infant Jesus at me, breaking the statue in the process and throwing a sharp knife at me, later threatening to still stab me in my sleep and poison me
3. putting a knife to my child’s neck to kill her
4. Preparing acid to pour on me – with bleach, hot water, etc, I called the canadian police and it took them several minutes to finally agree to enter the house because they were scared she would pour it on them. They entered the house and saw the hot water boiling, the bleach beside it and they called her out and she confessed. After that she started pushing to come to Nigeria even after I had booked a 6months training course in Canada for her to work as a Medical assistant which she rejected after attending class for one day.
She switches from calm to very violent in an instant, especially at night and can get very violent and would deny it later as if she was sleep walking when she performed all the actions. It got to a point I could not
sleep at night until she slept.
I have tried to help her but she has rejected all help for fear of being tagged a psycho patient. I had to take action and remove the kids while she was vehemently destroying my Fathers house on 3rd February 2016 from inside the room and then went downstairs to break more windows wounding my cousin in the process after which she left on her own. All witnesses there that day concluded that this girl can kill easily. We have all stayed away to protect lives and she has resorted to lies to social and print media to all to cause confusion. We have also made 4 attempts to return her
documents and her luggage to her with her and her Father refusing them each time.
It was only last year, that I found out that her brother, Kris Amaefule (Kolia) had called the police for her more than 20 times because he felt his life was threatened. All those calls happened even before I met her.
She has had this problem and it is extremely difficult
My concern is to protect the children because she has said she will kill them. We are doing our best to get everything right, to help her also, and we request the prayers of all.

Arase, fdc, NPM, commiserated with the families of those who lost their lives in the incident. He urged the citizens to remain calm as the Nigeria Police Force High Command has directed adequate security surveillance on places where Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) recovered and kept to ensure such incident does not occur in anywhere across the country.
The IGP has also directed all Commands’ Commissioners of Police to deploy Anti-Bomb Squad personnel of their respective State Commands to inspect all explosive elements kept in their armouries to ensure they are save, to forestall re-occurrence of the unfortunate incident.

EFCC Boss Magu Seeks Auditors’ Cooperation in Fighting Corruption

Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has called for synergy between the Commission and the Association of Chief Audit Executives of Banks in tackling corruption in Nigeria.
Magu made this call on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 while playing host to members of the Association of Chief Audit Executives of Banks in Nigeria, ACAEBIN, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Commission's Head office, Abuja.
According to the anti graft czar, "we are all stake holders as far as the anti graft war is concerned. Therefore, we must find a way to work together as both auditors and investigators do the same thing.”
He assured the Association of his readiness to support its work even beyond the corridors of banks.
Earlier, Chairman of the Association, Ajobola Dawodu commended the Commission for its current efforts in the fight against corruption.
He requested for the Commission’s intervention in the areas of capacity building, creating effective liaison at its zonal offices and helping to track fraud suspects who jumped ship.
According to him, “the Association meets quarterly and it will be nice to have a representative of EFCC join them, as a way to foster relationship and strengthen the fight against corruption

President Buhari welcomes Islamic Development Bank (IDB) financing offer

President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday in Mecca welcomed an offer by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to organize a financing round table in Abuja to mobilize more funds for investment and development of infrastructure in Nigeria.
The President of the IDB, Dr Ahmed Mohammed Ali made the offer at a meeting with President Buhari who is currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Ali assured President Buhari that the IDB will work with its traditional partners such as the Saudi Fund, the Kuwait Fund, Arab Bank for Development in Africa and the Abu Dhabi Fund, to increase the quantum of funding available to Nigeria.
Welcoming the offer, President Buhari restated his government's determination to revamp and diversify the Nigerian economy rapidly.
"The days of Nigeria as a big oil producer with plenty of money are gone. We need all the support we can get to diversify our economy as quickly as possible.
"We also need to rehabilitate our infrastructure, develop the domestic capacity to feed ourselves and export the surplus," the President told Dr. Ali.
President Buhari welcomed the plan by the IDB to fast track the take-off of the Bilingual Education Program, aimed at integrating the Almajiri system of education with Western education in Nigeria.
The IDB has already provided US$ 98 million for the Bilingual Education Program in Adamawa, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Osun and Yobe.
The bank plans to support similar projects in other states of Nigeria.

Festus Keyamo blast Senate on threat of arrest against former EFCC boss, Lamorde

"It has been brought to our attention through several publications in both the online and mainstream media that the Nigerian Senate has directed its Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”), to issue a Warrant of Arrest against our client, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, for failing to appear before it.
We respectfully urge the Inspector General of Police and other law enforcement agencies to disregard any such Warrant of Arrest (if issued) and resist the invitation to drag themselves into this illegal scheme. To set the records straight, the antecedents of this matter are briefly reproduced hereunder.
Pursuant to a petition written by one George Uboh against our client, the Senate referred the petition to the Committee for investigation. In the course of the investigation, the Committee wrote a letter of invitation to our client as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), inviting him to a meeting with the Committee on 5th November, 2015.
Owing to prior engagements, our client could not attend that meeting and this was duly communicated to the Committee. However, on the 9th of November, 2015, our client was relieved of his duties as the Chairman of the EFCC and he handed over all obligations, duties and responsibilities pertaining to his office to Ibrahim Mustapha Magu, who was appointed Acting Chairman.
Despite the fact that our client had handed over to the Acting Chairman, another letter of invitation was sent to him on 11th November, 2015 inviting him for a meeting with the Committee on 17th November, 2015. Our client could not honour that invitation as he was out of the country on his 3-month terminal leave. However, on the said 11th November, 2015, we appeared before the Committee to represent our client and raised objections to the conduct of the investigations by the Committee on two grounds.
First, the Constitution stipulates that the Committee can compel the attendance of a witness by issuing a proper SUMMONS and not an INVITATION LETTER. In the circumstances, it was contended that our client had not been summoned at all. In addition, section 88 of the 1999 Constitution stipulates that only a person presently occupying a public office can be investigated by the Senate in relation to that office and since at the time of this invitation, our client had vacated the office, he could no longer be made the subject of any investigation by the Senate. We contended that, however, any Nigerian can be summoned by the Senate as a WITNESS in any matter. Despite these cogent objections, the Committee denied us audience and threatened to have our client arrested.
As a law abiding citizen, our client instructed us to institute an action at the Federal High Court seeking an interpretation of the powers of the Senate with respect to investigations. In compliance with our client’s instructions, we instituted the said suit with number FHC/ABJ/CS/934/15 on 19th November, 2015 at the Federal High Court and it was assigned to Honourable Justice G.O. Kolawole sitting at Federal High Court 8, Abuja. Both the Senate and the Committee were served with the Originating Summons and a Motion seeking an Interlocutory Injunction restraining the Senate from continuing with their investigations pending the determination of the suit. The processes were served on them on 20th November, 2015, but since then, they have refused, ignored and failed to file any process in defence of the suit.
The suit came up before Justice G.O. Kolawole for hearing on the 9th December, 2015 and 10th February, 2016 and on both occasions, hearing Notices were served on the Senate and the Committee but on both occasions, they were absent and unrepresented by legal practitioners. At the proceedings of 10th February, 2016, the application for Interlocutory injunction was heard but in its wisdom, the Honourable court decided to give both the Senate and the Senate Committee another chance to come and answer to our client’s suit and the suit was subsequently adjourned till 14th March, 2016 for the Senate to respond to our client’s case.
As a law-abiding Police Force, you are aware that one of the Pillars of our democracy is the respect for the Rule of Law. By extension, this implies that when matters are pending before a court of law, all parties are expected to maintain status quo pending the determination of the matter. In any event, the Senate Standing Rules are clear to the effect that matters pending before a court of law should not be deliberated upon or discussed on the floor of the Senate or any of its Committees. This is the reason why our client’s case is clearly different from the case of other citizens against whom Warrants of Arrest have been issued by competent courts of law. Whilst there is no restriction on the powers of a court of law to issue a Warrant of Arrest against anybody who fails to honour its Summons, the Senate’s own rules forbid it to do anything in respect of matters that are pending in a court of law.
The conducts of the Senate and the Committee amount to legislative rascality as they seek to usurp the powers of the judiciary and to undermine its authority. We most respectfully urge the Nigeria Police Force to await the outcome of the matter pending in court before deciding one way or the other about the enforcement of the said Warrant of Arrest, if eventually issued.
If the court decides otherwise against our position, our client is prepared to appear before the Senate or any of its Committees.
We issue this statement on behalf of and on the instruction of our client, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde.
