Breaking: Court strikes Out Certificate Suit Against President Buhari

Justice Adeniyi Ademola, of the federal high court, Abuja, has struck out a suit challenging the veracity of the academic credentials of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Delivering a ruling on Thursday, Justice Adeniyi Ademola held that by “section 50(2) of the federal high court civil procedure rules the matter is hereby struck out”.

His order followed a motion for discontinuance filed by Nnamdi Nwokocha- Ahaaiwe, the applicant himself. He stated “Take note that the plaintiff in this originating summons, Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe, hereby discontinues this action.”

Lagos, June 27, 2016 (NAN) A Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday, struck out a winding up petition by Ecobank Nig. Plc against Honeywell and its sister company, Anchorage Leisures Ltd, over alleged N3.5 billion loan facility.

The petition is sequel to an alleged N3.5 billion loan facility, which honeywell was said to owe the bank.
Justice Jude Dagat struck out the winding up application for being an abuse of court process.
The suits numbered FHC/L/CS/1571/15 and FHC/L/CS/1570/15 were filed by the applicant on Oct. 16, 2015.
