PetroIeum minister Ibe Kachikwu says no planned increase in petroleum products prices
The Minister of state for Petroleum,Dr.Kachikwu has denied some media reports alleging that the government is planning the in the increase in the pump prices o petroleum products in the country.
He made the denial after a closed door meeting with President Buhari in Abuja,saying the report is a mere media propaganda and its untrue.He was supported by the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Alhaji Maikanti Baru who stressed that “there is nothing like that.’’ and asked correspondents “have you seen any memo to that effect?’’ He further referred the correspondents to contact the Petroleum Product Pricing and Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) for further information.
