Read what Freeze wrote on his Instagram in reaction to a message he received informing him that Lekki Gardens MD has been granted bail but the Police force refused to grant the court order and still kept him in their custody.Enjoy.
I just got this message from a concerned citizen. If this is true, why is the police holding him after the court granted him bail?
From my understanding of the term 'police force' they are 'law enforcement agents' not 'the law'. Wikipedia defines the police force as "a constituted body of persons empowered by the state to enforce the law, protect property, and limit civil disorder.[1]" Questions arising
1. If the police is supposed to 'enforce the law' not 'dictate' the law, and the court has granted bail while the police is allegedly still holding him, does this mean that the 'Nigerian police force' has another definition contrary to the globally accepted one?
2. Are we practicing 'democracy' or the Nigerian definition of 'democracy' which makes "some animals more equal than others"??
3. LEKKI gardens employs 8,000 + people directly and indirectly. With Richard incarcerated, what is the fate of these people on the short term? while we celebrate this Easter holiday who takes care of the 'immediate needs' of these 8,000 people and their long term needs including school fees, medical bills etc?
4. If LEKKI gardens build 6000 houses and one collapsed what percentage is that again? 0.016666666666667%???
5. The church 'owned' the house that collapsed, because according to reports, additional floors were added with occupants already in it, while Richard doesn't technically 'own' the property in question until he accepts it from the contractor that was outsourced to build it by "accepting possession of the property. So why is it looking like there is something else in this particular case?
