Hundred of Cyclists strip naked to protests the 'car centric' culture +18 only

Hundreds of cyclists stripped nude and pedalled through the streets of London yesterday as part of an annual protest against car culture.The cyclists braved the summer downpours to take part in the London leg of the World Naked Bike Ride.

The main aim of the protest is to raise awareness of the danger of cycling and the 'car centric' culture in the capital. at least three cyclists were killed in London in the last month.The organisers explained online that the gathering is: 'A peaceful, imaginative and fun protest against oil dependency and car culture.

'A celebration of the bicycle and also a celebration of the power and individuality of the human body. A symbol of the vulnerability of the cyclist in traffic.'
