Fatality hit the camp of the Department of Quantity Surveying students of the Polytechnic Ibadan.The accident happened at Motunde, on Ibadan-Oyo Road at about 6:00p.m yesterday. There were 19 occupants in the bus six students lost their lives while 13 sustained varying degrees of injury and were taken to St. Patrick Private Hospital and General Hospital in Oyo.
New Telegraph however quoted the Public Relations Officer, of the insitution, Mr Soladoye Adewole, as saying:
“I just got the news not quite long. We have not been able to ascertain the number of deaths, but we have actually recorded some deaths. Our Director of Medical Services and Registrar Mr Ezekiel Fehintola have gone to the scene. We have not been given full details of the incident”
Every school activities has been suspended till next week
